Superstar Conor McGregor went absolutely nuts earlier today at the UFC press conference or UFC 223. The UFC fighter and an entourage of 20 or more people were involved in an attack that resulted in multiple injuries.
Towards the end of the conference, Conor and a large group of people snuck into the venue. It’s been reported that two men belonging to the media entity called The Mac Life opened an unguarded side entrance for McGregor and his cohorts.
After making their way into the venue, the group began a savage attack on a bus that was attempting to leave. The impetus for the aggression appears to have been a conflict between Artem Lobov, Conor’s teammate, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, that happened earlier in the week.
Infamous UFC journalist Ariel Helwani reported the following to Twitter:
The president of the UFC, Dana White, mentioned in an interview that lightweight fighter Michael Chiesa is now in the hospital being treated for multiple cuts.
Dana White went on to say that NYPD has put out a warrant for Conor McGregor. They do not currently have him, or know his whereabouts.
Artem Lobov has been removed from this weekend’s UFC card as he was also involved in the altercation.
As the incident occurred security was quick to attempt to thwart the efforts of McGregor. His visit was short until you saw him as officers escorted him off the premises as fast as they possibly could.
Michael Chiesa, the injured fighter, may or may not be able to fight on this card due to the lacerations suffered during the attack.
Dana White has gone on record saying that he does not want to talk to Conor McGregor, nor is it likely he’ll be doing business with him anytime soon.
